I will take the ferry from Norway to Denmark 3.8 and from denmark to Harwich 4.8. So will arrive in England 5.8. I'm not sure how many km there is. But i now it's gonna be a long trip. But that just fun

Certainly is stunning, well done on getting it ready for Gaydon - shall look forward to seeing you there and meeting your lovely van in the flesh!
Re: Gaydon
So, any idea how many LCV's will be attending ? Is this an exclusive LCV Register event ? On their site they say, return your forms,so you can gain entry etc. Dose this mean, unlike the MMOC National,if you're not a member of the LCV Register, you can't attend ?
Re: Gaydon
I think you have to have a ticket but don't know if you need to be a member of the lcv register, It sort of sounds that way but hopefully not.

Makes it sound like an exclusive 'Gentleman's Club'!1098 wrote:So, any idea how many LCV's will be attending ? Is this an exclusive LCV Register event ? Clubs/Registers are of no interest to me as they rarely offer anything new
in the number crunching dept. Even had to set one up myself to fill the void!
As a member of nowt, am I to be excluded IF I manage to attend the event?
Readers of Private Eye will be familiar with the phrase. 'You're Barred'!

Further investigations uncovered it was an inside job!!

Re: Gaydon
I have just posted a question on LCV site to ask about whether you can just turn up as it does seem to suggest you have to pre-book and tickets only available from the LCV Register (but does not state LCV Register Members only just that the forms to apply would be sent to members).

Re: Gaydon
Do contact moggybrian on the LCV message board - he will advise. Its an expensive rally to go to cost - £25, but I assume that relates to the cost of hiring a rally site at Gaydon and the relatively small club/register/expected entries, so there you go. Its a one off event and you don;t get much for £25 these days and it sounds to be a 'good do!'
Incidentally, I entered a couple of weeks ago and got a rally card numbered 98, so at least 97 others have entered! May even be 98 vans and another number of pickups but that may just be wishful thinking....
Btw, the Series 2 van looks lovely. Like the side mounted indicators - I assume they're a local fitment...

Re: Gaydon
Those indicators remind me of fitments to Mr. Whippy vans in days of yore...
Re: Gaydon
Well,98+ is a good number of LCV's,hope it all goes well. Gaydon are also planning an all Marque, Light commercial event in 2014.IaininTenbury wrote:Do contact moggybrian on the LCV message board - he will advise. Re: Gaydon
Hello folks, here is a reply taken from the LCV Register's Membership Secretary-Treasurer Brian Lee
Gaydon's own info page has some details see http://www.heritage-motor-centre.co.uk/ ... fPmnzVwZdg
where it shows :
So yep you will need a pre purchased ticket to be part of it but you could turn up and just park in the normal car park.Of course none members can come!
the only reason we have said "no ticket- no entry"
is to try and keep the flow of traffic going,
as it will be very busy, and, 'pay on the day' do tend to hold up the traffic,
but I repeat:
'YOU ARE WELCOME'!
you still have time to send your entry forms in,
or ask me for one,
you can even contact Russ,
and do it by 'paypal'!
So hurry:
so as not to miss a great event,
once in a lifetime for some of us!

Re: Gaydon
Hope some of you will be coming along to the LCV's 60th Anniversary rally at Gaydon. Further to my previous post Brian Lee has also just posted on the LCV forum:-
So it seems all LCV's are welcome to pay on the day and join in the display but it won't include the evening bash as these tickets need to be pre-booked.If you 'pay on the day'
you will be able to be with the 'Register display',
member, or not,
we need new members,
of course we do.
the only difference being in cost is:
if you want to take advantage of the 'evening entertainment',
which 'INCLUDES' BAR and FOOD,
this is were the 'cost' comes in,
(Gaydon don't do it for nout, you know)!!
