Hi Dan
You're certainly not the only one! I'm 17 too. :)
I did a survey a few moths ago to see how many youngsters there were around here, you might find it of interest

Sadly I haven't yet taken it any further with arranging any sort of rally visits together.

Having just hit 50, I'm starting to get junk mail with pictures of people like Michael Parkinson and Gloria Hunniford on it. Saga Holidays. Funeral Plans. Stairlifts to Heaven. The shredder is busy.

At least I'll always be younger than my Morris.

I'm assuming that the older columns are showing fewer people because computers are still quite new and they weren't brought up with them. I was well into my thirties before I got involved with computers and since I now run a business, which trades online, I have to use them. Wouldn't want one under the bonnet of a car though!!!!

Good to see plenty of under thirties and even under twenties. I suppose that with car insurance being what it is for younger drivers, a Minor might be one of the best ways into motoring. Let's hope they stick with it. Having not found the secret of immortality, I'd like to think that my cars will outlive me.

 Hi fellow moggie owners, when you look at the age chart in this column and note that lonely "1" well that is me. I just wanted to let you know that ,with luck, you have years of moggie enjoyment ahead of you. My car and I have been enjoying the hobby for many years, my first car was a 1949 black two door and we traveled across Canada on three different occasions from Vancouver, British Columbia to St John New Brunswick and return. On the straight away I was left behind by the big cars but in the mountains and in the curves, very little could keep up.(that little car was glued to the road) Now I have a 1961 moggie and the driving pleasure continues. always enjoy hearing from anyone who has the time to talk about the hobby.

Good to hear from you. Have you seen the MMOC video, which starts off showing two sidevalve Minors (One saloon and a tourer) driving the Alaska Highway from Canada into Alaska. The road was built during WW2 and in the film was still an unmetalled surface. It crosses many mountains (Steamboat Mountain is a name that springs to mind) and it crosses many rivers, mostly over impressive looking wooden bridges. Well worth a watch.

I still have my second car (MG Midget), which I have owned since I was 19 years old and I have no intention of selling it (Or my Traveller).

I'm 20 and have had my moggy for just over a year. Looking into selling him and getting another (going to see one tomorrow). Your friends all think you're mad like mine do?

It must be because they are worried about being seen as an individual and would rather stay within the flock like the rest of the sheep  so to speak.
Cheers
