Thank you Laurie!
Just to let you know that one of the auction ones was bought by a chap in Yorkshire, who is really chuffed and phoned me tonight! :D
My 1956 Series 11 Traveller! Bought when I was 17 (1985)....sold 6 years (1991) later......bought back 9 years after that! (2000) With 6 different owners in the middle, what a lucky boy I am!

There were no photos on the listing when I first spotted it. The car doesn't look as bad in the pictures as I was expecting.
Looks quite a decent project doesn't it. I'm almost tempted! Shame the original reg number is no longer with it.
I'm sure that could be brought back to life fairly easily.

Here's FLA21 289785 after a long hibernation:

According to the numbers, it's a late '54 & one of the first 'update' Series II travellers.

Any chance of the body number please?

Will have a separate "BMD" plate.

Thanks

In the past? A friend had one fifty years ago. Sadly he put it through the hedge one night when he should have walked home and that was the end of it. Numbers are long forgotten.

Is that on the tag alongside the BMD one?
If so, 'Z.16316' is embossed, then '582' stamped.

Thanks Scott, great!

582* should be 4 digits.

Body number confirms it is a post-production S11 Traveller built in 1959....lol!!

You're right - some rubbing revealed another '2'.
