I was looking at the usual suppliers and i see a few list a parcel shelf for a LCV or Van.
After looking at the dimensions and seeing they are listed as the same for all models.
My question is there a difference in the Van parcel shelf from the others?
If so, What is different?

Re: Morris Minor Van Parcel Tray
I've never considered there to be a difference. When I bought one for my van I just ordered a standard Parcel shelf.
Re: Morris Minor Van Parcel Tray
I'm guessing some vans/pickups didn't come with heaters so it might not have the hole for it. It could also be a different colour/material perhaps?

Re: Morris Minor Van Parcel Tray
So far i think your going in the right direction from what i have found researching.
Some commercial owners told me there's were gray in color.
Some one told me there van had a cargo net type - Not card board.
They were not sure if it was after market or factory.
I was also told by another that some Morris minors had a half tray.
I have not seen one of these yet.
Thanks for your reply,
Vigil

Re: Morris Minor Van Parcel Tray
There are two sizes of parcel shelf for cars. I do not know if this applies to LCVs. What year is it?

Re: Morris Minor Van Parcel Tray
Just happens that it is the year they changed 1959.
Being late 1959 - if like the traveler it would be the one the steering shaft goes through.
The earlier cars the tray was on top of the steering shaft.
Here in the USA i have seen some webbed trays - may be a dealer option.
Then gray shelf's which i was told original by one owner of a LCV.
I have been told they made a half tray but never seen one.

Re: Morris Minor Van Parcel Tray
As far as I know, UK vans had the same parcel trays as the cars and changed when the cars did.
Possibly may nt have had the ashtray fittings that the later cars had for the swivel out ashtrays - would have to check.
Sadly the boards are only available in black, so if you want an early tray (beige colour) you have to order a black one and respray it, which does work pretty well.
