Fuel tank flange gasket
Is there a gasket which goes between the fuel tank and the aperture flange (not the sender)? Mine had the remains of something when I took it out, but it could be homemade earlier in the car's life. All diagrams show nothing and I can not find any part numbers either.

Usually some sort of non setting mastic or sealant. Ive used dum dum in the past but its not so easy to find now. This sort of strip would be handy and you can use it round the geabox panel as well!

Originally there was a gasket, BMC part # 128481. But i doubt that it's available anywhere.

You can make one from nebar jointing strip or cork or rubber insertion. About 1 mm thick will do.
