Not as expensive as all that, but why not show the engine compartment? Something to hide ? Not as original as all that either! Later type rear wings and period door pulls missing - I think that they were fitted on tourer/ saloon (?). There is a 1961 Saloon on the same site for £1K more. I know which one I would go for.

I don't like the non-original black interior in the Tourer.
The '61 saloon is more my cuppa especially with that low mileage, and I love 4-doors anyway. Its the 3rd black 4-door they've had for sale in the past year. Other two were a nice 1962 and a 1956 Series II which is now mine!
Wish I had need of the A40 Devon p/up as well!

The interior on the tourer is a very dark blue, not black.

Laptop still sulking so small Samsung screen makes it look black. Blue interior is better. Didn't Thames Blue come with beige seats / green piping / green carpets...?

Seem to remember the car being on t'interweb around xmas 2015 possibly for sale

You are bang on on the original interior colour scheme. The blue / black is the right pattern but wholly the wrong colour. I still want to see under the bonnet.......

If I remember rightly, the underbonnet area is tidy, with little corrosion, and the smooth and quiet 918cc sidevalve and other items were original spec. When I bought it, and sold it a year or so later, the boot lid still had a different colour blue at the bottom, which it has still got. It is a genuine factory built tourer, and the later rear wings are the only thing that spoils it. It is one of a very few tourers built with the just introduced on the home market, high wing mounted headlights, but retaining the short bonnet, which was discontinued later that year.

Thanks I do not think the price excessive for the car but to put it back to originality i.e. interior and wings would add a few grand to the cost

Agree with firedrake. I'm sorely tempted by it. Unfortunately Mrs PB doesn't share my enthusiasm and my thin ice detector is working overtime :(

Be nicer if it had its original registration too. But aside from that the interior colour would need changing for me. Still like it though, but like the A40 pickup more...
cheers

I have an eye for the 1969 Wolseley 16/60 Saloon on that site, Those A60 and A55 looking motors appeal to me and this A110 westminster countryman with a small period caravan would be nice for weekends away.

MM reg number was lost in early DVLA days because the original number could not be proven with any documentatation. RSU 323 issued instead. Original traced as APV 480 issued in Ipswich in 1951.
