Hello all,
My name is John, I’ve just joined the message board.
I’m envious of you guys with roadworthy Minors.
As my user name suggests I still have my first car which is a late Austin badged pickup that I’ve had since the early 80s. I was reaching school leaver age at this time.
We used to go to custom car shows so I did a fancy paint job on it with dads help and also covered the door cards and head lining with fur, popular at the time!
I drove it for a while then moved on to a car so the pickup went into storage.
Fast forward 35 odd years and I’ve moved from Somerset to Carmarthenshire.
My pickup sits in my garage awaiting my attention.
It needs cab floor, B post repair, tub arches, floor and rear corners, tail gate bottom edge, front wings and then possibly go back to the original Persian Blue.
Hopefully when time and funds permit I’ll get her back on the road.
Regards John.

Welcome John, It is a very friendly site with a mass of knowledge, I think "roadworthy" is a term that is very flexible a bit like some of my cars....Congrats on keeping your first car the fur look was big back in the day at car shows, I still have my furry dice in a box up the loft

John. As we're addicted to pics on here, why not post a few of your pick-up?
