Re: Pics
I'm afraid that's down to Photobucket changing their service; it isn't down to you to upgrade but to the original holder of the image. You see, Photobucket now wish to charge users for linking images in forums etc. It is, in my view, a hugely shortsighted move which has overnight rendered endless picture-heavy threads useless.
Other photo storage clients are available.

Re: Pics
We're going to get nowhere with this. It is original uploader of the photos (effectively the account-holder) who now has to pay the $399 subscription to photobucket (the hosting service). Without this, photobucket will block the account-holders photos, past and present, thus preventing them from being uploaded to any site or forum. In this instance, its something that the club, the forum, its administrator and various other web-gnomes have no power to control.

Re: Pics
It would be worth an email from John Fry et al to Photo bucket Senior Management. I can't imagine Photo bucket would relish the publicity of a bunch of fun loving morris minor geeks being deprived of their pictures . Just the sort of thing the tabloids, esp. the right wing unthinking ones (Facist Daily etc) would relish - David and Goliath etc.

Re: Pics
I can remember the halcyon days when this website would host the pics and you didn't have to use a third party photo hosting site....
Realistically, there must be other places and ways to host pics to link to here, (I've not looked to be honest) and all the disgruntled and ex photobucket users can simply vote with their mice, and move there. Still makes a bit of a mess of past postings on this site though I agree.

Re: Pics
I'm getting confused with this thread
Any "Photobucket" photos in posts have now disappeared unless P'bucket fees are paid but photos can still be posted provided they are from files stored on a PC/laptop which I have done.
Is this, very simply, the situation?

Re: Pics
You should be able to download them from your photobucket account. Iv done this with all mine. I only switched over to photobucket as I couldn't upload pictures after the forum "upgrade".les wrote:How can I get my photobucket pictures transferred to my iPad please?

Re: Pics
Les I cant work out how I done it. Iv got folders saved called photobucket. If worse comes to worse you'll just have to save each picture. Tho I don't think photobucket are going anywhere it just looks like they're becoming more of shop. Just a shame the way they've gone about it!
