Hi all, I don’t know if it’s normal but, when I go near a pot hole or such there is such a clunk that I think the car is about to fall apart!! I have fitted, gas dampers on the back, and on the front there are gas dampers and the original suspension units have had the valves removed, I tried to drain the oil out of them but even with the bolts out where the valves live I couldn’t seem to get much oil out , even jumping up and down on the bumper!! Then I couldn’t get hardly any oil back in! even when I tried leaving the drain plug out, how much oil do they take? Help please, as I love the the car and it’s the only thing that lets it down.
Thanks guys, Tony

Re: Front dampers
Side-stepping the oil for a moment, are the top bump stops in place at the front, and is the suspensions height set correctly? The clunk could be the top of the kingpin hitting the underneath of the inner wing.
Re: Front dampers
The bump stops are in place, but I’m not sure about the suspension height, I don’t know how to check or adjust!
