Hi
I see there is a NMP thread already but didn't want to hijack it.
I went to see a car today, a convertible but I could only see the number on the small strip on the N/S bulk head and the obvious one on the O/S but I could not see the NMP plate anywhere, I am lead to believe they are on the NS stanchion which is where i have seen it before.
Is this normal and could it have just rotted away or been cut out after a repair, and does it matter it is not there?
cheers

Re: NMP plates
The NMP plate was latterly located on the front of the N/S tie plate under the radiator.
If not there it has most likely been discarded when the tie plate was replaced which is quite common.

Re: NMP plates
Just let me know , best via e mail dadmjsdm@aol.com, but we are getting close to the 200 blanks being used. As phil has noted the location of the plate on later cars but on MM's it was on the straight bulkhead behind and to the left of the engine. They tended to last longer that way, rather than rusting on the tie plate ! They were also fixed by 4 screws rather than spot welded making removal easier.
