I have a 1949 lowlight and would like to know where I can get the chain pull chrome ends for the doors as I have the leather covers and chains.
Thanks
Pete

Re: Lowlight chain door pull chrome covers
I bought some Repro ones but they aren't very good. Originals look to have been cut out of sheet steel, folded over a bit, had 2 holes drilled and then chromed. Might be best to make your own? Not hard.
Can't recall where they came from. ESM?

Piece of copper waterpipe, beaten over the shaft of a screwdriver. Flatten the edges, drill 2 holes, chrome it or leave it in a saucepan of boiling water alongside some caustic soda and a handful of zinc galvanised nails. I believe that is how they make them in China for Bull Motif etc!
