Per Ardua ad Astra?
I was intrigued to learn, from an illustration on p18 of today's Sunday Telegraph, that the post-Brexit UK Global Positioning Satellite that Theresa May tells us we shall build is, apparently, in the form of a converted Morris Minor. Well, I'm certainly sold on the idea - what could possibly go wrong with such a machine?

If it spends all its time in space without being driven then I guess the brakes will seize. The tyres will probably suffer from UV degradation.

Well yes but, on the other hand, it should have no trouble as regards (further?) rusting.

To be fair, it seems that Jeremy Clarkson and his mates were probably on the right track after all but, again, picked the wrong car in a Reliant Robin.

Is that the 3WD version, with the atomic engine ? I remember I would have liked a Kitten Estate, when I was looking for a Mini estate but at the time, nothing suitable was available and I bought a low mileage Mini saloon. I never even thought about a Minor Traveller , which is a pity. Wasn't is Mark Twain, who said that it could be better to be born at 80 and get younger?

Don't think so; I seem to remember it was the fairly rare variant with a dirty great rocket up its chuff.
