Shows what fitting snow chains can do for traction in snow.

I have a set of Parsons chains for my Morris 8 and they work fine on the narrow wheels!

I don't go out in the snow a lot (We don't seem to get much these days) and when you see how useless lots of drivers and their modern cars are in the snow, that's partly why. My first car was a Mini and that was great (If it was deep, it could be a problem). My next car was the Midget (That I still have) and that was nowhere near as good. However, many years later, when the Midget had become a toy and had a Quaife diff fitted, I happened to need to go out when it had snowed and the "Regular" car (Which was front wheel drive) was having a little work done to it. The Midget was a different car with that diff (Really rather good) and when I bought the Traveller, which is nominally the "Regular" car, I fitted a Quaife to it.

Would that be the Quaife ATB type of diff?

Yes is appears it is called an ATB (I didn't know that; when I first had one it was just a Quaife diff). They also made the halfshafts in my Midget.
