Van Springs

Post by Despatcher55 »

I have a 1971 ex BT van and feel that I will need to replace the rear Springs ! Now as the van will never be required for carrying any heavy load do i really need the 8 leaf heavy duty Springs or would the Traveller Springs be ok ?

Traveller springs would probably be fine, give a far smoother ride :D

The front eye of the top leaf of the van spring eye is larger therefore the traveller springs will not fit.

Note the larger bush for the spring front eye.

Below is the van front spring hanger:-

I would always recommend the use of Poly Bushes but it will not make the ride any softer.
