I did that with the 1098. Most kids can't actually *drive* - so they've got this stoopid big engine and so on, and a decent pull away in the minor'll leave them in the dust. They're looking puzzled as to why they're behind the ratty looking blue minor.... and I'm grinning and patting the dashboard.

Not that I do this often, but sometimes it's just fun.

heh :)

I call Hebe "Hebe", "baby", "my moggie", "My Minor", "Old girl".

And yes, I pat her on the hump just above her speedo every time she gets up the hill on the way to bitton from Bath :)

While many have there pet names for their individual cars, here "morrie" is the general for a morris minor - or frequently a "Morrie Minor". Since it is usally said and when written its the proper Morris Minor, "Morrie" gets spelt a number of ways; Morrie, Morry, and on personalised number plates when every one is trying to get one that's not used; Mori, Mory, Morri

In the UK it seems to be Moggy more (and the poll shows that). Here I think I might have heard it once.

Well, as we all know, 'moggy' is actually the term for...

Bert is either known as The Mogstar, Snort (because she reminds me of my pet chinchillas, Bill and Ben (aka the Snorts) - it's a shape thing) or that pain in the bum car. Oddly, never Bert. :D

Oooh, no, stop messin' about! ;)

Phyllis is regularly known as, Phyllis, Old Dear, Old Thing, Old Girl and is regularly patted on the hump, Matron.

I don't often refer to her as a Moggy. If other do, then I won't correct or dissuade them from it, but she is usually called by name than anything else... There again, I'm mad as toast, me. :D
Happy Minoring!

P.S. Morrie doesn't sound right. We call her the "little mog"
