Early 60's convertible hood

Post by jagnut66 »

Hi,
Just a quick question: I note in Ray's book on original Minors that Smoke Grey convertibles were fitted with a Pearl Grey hood but I can't find any reference to what colour the hood bag used to cover it when it was down was.
Was this also Pearl Grey?
I have noted some other convertibles with hood bags the same colour as the hood itself, so was this the rule?
Many thanks,
Mike.

I would suggest that the hood bag was always the same colour as the hood, yes.
Pearl Grey is very light - almost an off white.
