Evening all.
I may have posted in the wrong place, but I chose here as any sale is completely undecided. Please let me know if I've got it wrong.
As a lot of you are aware, I've posted a lot about my "Pig", the 68 2 door.
I bought it as I thought it was better than it was.
I posted last week about potentially breaking the car for spares as it is a really big undertaking to get it restored.
I feel I'm making rash decisions about breaking/selling the car as I need the space for a clubman estate project.
I'm not going to kid myself, it is a lot of work. But I have seen a lot worse.
The panda car I'm keeping has gone in all the same places, just not to the same extent.
It is this that's making me want to keep it, as it's the same work to cut out and replace wether it's a very crusty panel or a shoddy mot repaired panel.
It is definitely restorable, as is everything. It's just whether or not i'm going to do it, or someone else is, or it's a case of it not being "worth" doing.
It needs hinge panels, sills, crossmember, chassis rails, tie panels and door bottoms as a major point of rigidity. The rest is 'mostly' cosmetic.
If (a big if) I were to part ways, is £500 a reasonable price to sell complete?

Sounds to me that if you were offered 500 pounds you’d take it ! I would, and run!!
Re: Possibly selling heavy project
Sounds like I'm dreaming then! I assume in that case it's only worth the parts?
