Dear All
Just taking engine B apart and have found it's +0.060 ( I think that makes it 1330cc ? ) and has marking of M2 270 on the camshaft , does anyone know the spec of this?
Nothing in Mr Vizards book about it...

Re: M2 270 Camshaft
Not everything is in David Vizard's book.
Ignoring the M2 - the 270 camshaft is a fast road cam of 270 degrees duration and made by Piper Camshafts.
I suspect that the M2 stands for Magnum 2. The camshaft could possibly be a re-profiled / re-ground item with the old Piper Pt No:
If not worn or damaged I would re-use. Anything over 270 degrees starts to mean race cam producing a lumpy tick over and poor bottom end response.
Here is a Piper M2 270 camshaft for sale on 'e' bay.

Re: M2 270 Camshaft
Thank you , I think I may go for a standard cam , I'd prefer bottom end torque rather than top end , the pump drive is " star" so will have to change out for a slot-drive ?
