Did you change out the complete axle assembly or did you find a 4.55:1 cwp somewhere
Hi Paul,
In my case I've opted for the 1098 set up, 4.22 diff and rear axle, plus 1098 gearbox. As you say, there is far greater spares availability for these, plus it makes for smoother running.
If you'd like a spare 4.55 there are a couple on eBay:

Best wishes,
Mike.

Those diffs are for the Austin axle, though, not the Nuffield axle fitted to the Series MM and early Series II cars

Those diffs are for the Austin axle
They are both advertised as 'Morris Minor' and the more expensive one is clearly stamped 'MOWOG', so what makes you say they are for Austin axles?
Even if your right though, the cheaper one could be a source of parts for Paul.
Best wishes,
Mike.

Liam is right. The parts you have linked to are for the Austin axle which was adopted and used on the later Minors. Paul is looking for parts for the earlier axle which is completely different

Oh, well, I can't find any other 4.55's, plenty of 4.22's though....
Good luck with your parts search.
Best wishes,
Mike.

Edit: I have spotted this but it's not cheap:

Down to a small fibre glass body I suspect.
Nice looking little car though.
Do any survive?
Best wishes,
Mike.

Google image shows a good selection of survivors. I’ll bet not many still have 803 engines though.

Only the first 40 cars had the 803cc engine the 948cc was fitted to later cars.
