Second Opinion on Car Ad
Hello
I've been dutifully looking at cars for a little while and there's one I quite like the look of.
Would anyone with more knowledge than me mind taking a look over the advert to tell me if there are any red flags I'm missing?
I understand of course that an advert and photos can hide a multitude of sins, and I have no specific concerns other than the obvious, but it's more of a general overview and any red flags I probably haven't thought of
Thank you!

I'm sure if you post a link to the ad there are plenty of people here who will give you their thoughts..........

Re: Second Opinion on Car Ad
If the ad asks you to contact them via an email address outside of the platform it's being advertised on - that's a common scam.
Other than that, rust!

I was also being discreet as it has a club sticker in the window. I wouldn't want anyone to think I'm questioning their integrity

Plenty of Club Stickers around over the years, doesn't mean they are still current.radioactiveman wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 1:47 pm

My car used to belong to a Club Member, but he was such a self confessed Luddite, there's little chance he even knew this forum existed, let alone be here currently. I've certainly seen no mention of my Basil being here before I joined the forum.
So long as people remain civil, I don't see a problem about being honest in what people 'pick up' on an advert.

Re: Second Opinion on Car Ad
Is the advert in the magazine or on 'another' site, like eBay for example?I was also being discreet as it has a club sticker in the window. I wouldn't want anyone to think I'm questioning their integrity
If it's on another site then just post up a link for us to view and don't worry. I think alot of us are curious right now.
As Berni says, just because it displays an old club sticker doesn't mean the seller is a member.
Best wishes,
Mike.
