Don't know about mpg. miles are for US Ame3ricans and have not seen a gallon since the last century.
My 1098 Traveller fitted with a 3,9 diff on a measured run to Freiburg ca 400km away did 5,9 lit per 100km despite being driven mostly at a steady 100kmh (very noisy) on the AB.
I thought this to be phenomenal . Driving around home in a hilly area , consumption averages just under 8.

I suspect that to most British people, myself included, seeing fuel economy quoted in km per litre is meaningless.Nickol wrote: ↑Sun Dec 12, 2021 4:03 pm Don't know about mpg. miles are for US Ame3ricans and have not seen a gallon since the last century.

Our fuel may be sold these days in litres, but distances are still miles and yards. Official fuel consumption figures are published in miles per UK gallon. Modern cars with their on board computers also tell drivers their consumption in mpg.
A bit like if someone tells you their weight in kilos…nobody knows what it means. But I accept that your quoted figured is probably good
