What was going on there?
Just signed on, looking through the new posts, I clicked on ‘what’s going on here’ looks like it should now read ‘what WAS going on here‘. Quite annoying to have missed the last posting before the thread was locked. I do like to read the last post if it’s going to be locked, to make my own personal decision on its content. Oh well, there you go.

Re: What was going there?
Apparently it provoked "a few unfortunate responses"..............
Surely no-one was politically incorrect.........
Best wishes,
Mike.

Oddly, I wasn't told off for the two 'forms' I posted up, so I can only assume people 'got' the humourous intent and that it must be someone else this time.............Check your PMs
I didn't see the posts after mine before they were deleted, so I can't say more....
Best wishes,
Mike.

Hail the guy sporting an oblong moustache!
Locking harmless threads seems a bit harsh, why not have a section FOR Minor Enthusiasts' to take the mick out of the way life is nowadays?
Show younger members we DO have a sense of humour, and are approachable.

Further investigations uncovered it was an inside job!!

Re: What was going on there?
I sort of know how you feel Chris but we’re not in control when it comes to thread deletion, I agree there should be more tolerance of posts and it’s long been my view that threads burn out eventually on their own. This is a very strict forum. I personally think posts here don’t go too far but as with so much in this day and age, the worry that offence might be taken is there, hence deletion in this case.

Why do I get the feeling I’ve missed out on reading an enjoyable thread?

Re: What was going on there?
This is why many modern 'comedians' are so bland and boring, too worried about offending someone or not being seen as 'politically correct' / 'on message'....................
Plus allot of people are extremely 'thin skinned' these days..............
I could go on but I'd better not.....
Best wishes,
Mike.

Re: What was going on there?
This post is just a joke, right? You're simultaneously complaining about 'not being allowed to bang out a personal opinion', while at the same time throwing another hissy fit that you're not getting what you want from other members, AND insisting that I do the work of going back and editing all of your threads for you? You're taking the proverbial, mate.POMMReg wrote: ↑Wed Dec 08, 2021 8:06 pm Sick to death with it all, what's the blxxdy point in living if you cannot bang out a personal opinion.

Re: What was going on there?
Try to tell a joke or make a witty comment which does not involve anyone or anything being a victim. It is almost impossible.jagnut66 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 09, 2021 5:10 pm This is why many modern 'comedians' are so bland and boring, too worried about offending someone or not being seen as 'politically correct' / 'on message'....................
