Onne, ask Jonathon to photograph my lights, grille etc to show you how they all go together - it's quite difficult when they're on the car to get a true picture.

Doany of you know if Brian Ghostling still has reconditioned expmles of the MM headlight? This because I love the look of them with the almond shaped middle.

Erm.. Onne. Are your trunnions in good condition? The reason I ask is because in your photos you seem to have the very early BRASS trunnions! :o

If they are in good condition then that's really fantastic! :D

Oh and Bryan Gostling (club spares) is not trading at this moment as was explained at the AGM due to an audit of the spares...

shame... how can I tell if my brass trunnions are in good nick? The top rubbers seem to be replaced by yellowish poly stuff.

Should I just wiggle around a bit?

The best way to check is to take the stress off. I usually unbolt the bottom trunnion from the bottom wishbone leg(s) and then try and wiggle the trunnions to see if there is any play (top and bottom).

"Steady on lad, you'll buckle me trunnions!" ( C Nick park)

If there is no play, then they are OK, just grease them regularly.
Cheers John - all comments IMHO

I will need to change all rubber bushes. I think the car has only done 76000km (46000 miles) so they could well be the original ones

If so then make sure you really look after them! Keep them well greased and cared for. I'm glad the car has ended up with someone who will actually care and appreciate her! :D

Onne,

There's probably loads in New Zealand and Australia - I'll ask on Minor Mania site for you.

Cheers
