Possibly to join the many other old cars that have been interchangeable over the years.

may be something to do with legislation over there, vehicle status ,type approval etc, but still illegal I would think.

Most likely to get another Minor back on the road. In many European countries you need a registration document from the country of manufacture in order to register the car locally. Unlike over here, they don't usually recognise a Heritage certificate or Build record. or Declaration from a Club. So a UK V5 or logbook of the right age does the job. No laws broken.

Except he's being very non-specific about age. 1957 to 1971???

I considered removing this thread in view of the concerns being expressed, but having contacted Ton I believe that the request is entirely genuine to allow an example of a UK old log book to be exhibited with a car that is now registered in the Netherlands but was originally a UK car.

Seems a reasonable explanation. If you're satisfied, I am.
I guess Ton is probably unaware of the issues in the UK surrounding fraudulent use of vehicle identities, and is also unaware how wary we've become of such requests. :)

I did not know that you all have reponded to me.

Let me explain something:

I do own a white fourdoor Morris Minor. I am driving this when the weather is fine. This car has been imported, by someone I do not know, in my country. The Minor came from england somewhere during the 1990's. In those days the Minor has got a Netherlands registration.

The original UK documents have been handed over to the Netherlands authorities. You have to provide the original documents of a car from abroad when you import that. If you don't provide you will never get a registration here.

I do collect Morris Minor objects that I do have on show in a lrage window-cupboard in my house. Now I would like to have an old english logbook on show in my Minor "Museum". I do not know the original registration number of my Minor in the UK. So I thought it to be funny to have an old valueless logbook to show, but than it has to be one of a car looking the same as mine. So for a white fourdoor saloon. Nothing less and nothing more than that.

I do have seen at Ebay that these old logbooks are offered there for collectioners for a fee like 10 quid or so, but so far I did not manage to find one there for a white fourdoor, whereas I did find a few for 2doors only.

I hope you will wish to understand that I am not some criminal car trader or something like that. I am collecting that stuff and as I found this on your britisch Ebay-site I never thought that british people might see me as a criminal offender.

Anyway I hope you all will have a merry christmas and many happy (new) yers to come!

I believe the Morris Minor 1000, (so being not the splitscreen series two) is bult from 1956 till 1971. Now I am looking for just an old logbook for that white fourdoor Minor 1000, with NOT a splitscreen, but a full frontscreen, so just like mine. Mine is a 1966, but basically all Minor 1000 saloons are the same, no matter from what year. Changes only are a few optical parts and engine size but the body is all the same over all that years.
