LCV pull-strap guide thingy

Postby don58van » Thu Sep 26, 2019 8:04 am

I am restoring an Austin Minor Van to close to factory standard (seems to be the only one in Australia).

I am missing one of the brass dohickies (aka thingamebobs) that the door pull strap passes through from behind the lining.

I would be grateful if someone would supply me with one. I am happy to pay a fair amount.

Please contact me by Personal Message on this site.

They are hard to find Don, as you realise, I had a job finding them. I eventually located some really rough door panels that were pass restoration but luckily still had the brass ferrules. Hopefully you might find the same. Put a post on the lcv register, you never know.

There are a pair of complete van door cards on ebay at the moment with these fitted.
I'm afraid I'm not computer literate enough to post a direct link though.

I don`t live too far from the seller, I could pick them up if they were the correct item, and send them to you, if that helps you Don.

Kind offer, and Don would probably only need the brass ferrules sent.

Hi All

Well I am really embarrassed

I didn't see these replies to my request for assistance. I thought I would get an email notification if there was a response (I think I have in the past).

So... thanks very much to ManyMinors, Owlsman, win, mgdavid and Les.

Les. You are right--I only need the brass thingies, not the whole door liners. I already have those.

Unfortunately, I missed the eBay auction. I was previously a member of the Morris LCV Register, but I have stopped using Facebook.

I will keep trying here.

Regards
Don
