Glove box emblem from early type dashboard

Postby Castanley » Mon Oct 21, 2019 12:01 pm

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone happened to have a spare plastic Morris emblem/badge to fit the glove box lid of a Series II Minor (early style dashboard)?
Mine is missing and it's a tough old thing to find a replacement!

Thanks,
Chris.

I may be in a position to help you with this, as I have removed mine and fitted a period-correct Smith's clock in its place.

Hi,
Have you tried club spares, Bryan Gostling?
Best wishes,
Mike.

Thanks for the offer, George. It looks like you have the earlier metal type emblem rather than the later beige plastic one I'm looking for. Thanks for the kind offer though. 😊

Chris.
It also looks like I have what you call the later one too. I bought a load of spare parts from a chap in 2015, who was selling vast quantities of Series MM and Series II parts.

Is this what you are after?

This glove-box panel seems to be in pristine condition.

You can never have enough spares! :P

That plastic one will be the type Chris is after.

Don't worry.
I was in IT (in all of it's various forms) for 47 years, it doesn't get any better :(
