Looking for my Old Minor Convertible RDE597G

Postby dash60 » Sun May 24, 2020 3:43 pm

Hi
I was just wondering if anyone on this site may be able to help me tracking down my old Morris convertible
RDE597G
I am hoping to find it with a possibility of buying it back.
I sold the car in May 2008 from the Heathfield area (Cross in Hand) to a man from I think the Battle / Eastbourne area
I also think he said he worked at the local council recycling centre.
There has been no log book change since 2008
Last mot 2008
Lat tax 2011
No problem if its not for sale. It would be nice just to know
Please help if you can

Maroon Morris Minor Convertible (fawn Hood) Scruffy but a good car RDE597G

Thankyou

How weird. I will look out for you l,m in Heathfield 🤩 ... there are a few convertibles around here.

Have you asked ESM down at Stonegate 8 miles from me.

The only one I can remember was Maroon but it looked restored.... and was in the Heathfield carnival.......?????? Maybe 2 years ago.

Cheers Matt .

Hi Matt
Yes I have spoken to ESM
They have no knowledge of anyone buying parts for it
The lovely 1 you saw at the carnival may have been Steves from ESM .
I have a advert on Ebay and car and classic
Think we may have met or at least spoken a few years ago
I do the wedding cars at Cross in hand.
Thanks for looking out for me
Best wishes Mark

How weird 2. I had a couple of jobs done by Jentree not so long ago. Really pleased with their workmanship. Fair old trip down to them but you have to chase quality.
