A lot of people fit these, cheap enough:

Better off sticking with good points and condenser, which is NOT a service item. Ask those guys in NASCAR with $2,000,000 prize money what they use. One missed spark and they're out.

A bone of contention this. Many swear by electronic ignition, yet others have had problems - and when they do fail, that's it. I'm with 'JJ' on this - points system very rarely fails if regularly serviced and good quality components used.......from the excellent 'Distributor Doctor'.

This subject is much like 'Marmite' - hate it or love it, in this case the Marmite has become 'electronic ignition'.
Let's face it, the Dizzy on a Moggie is not easy to access, so adjusting the points by the road-side can be fiddly for anyone. Electronic ignition avoids this task hopefully, and to safeguard against if the electronics did pack in, one can always carry a spare trigger head in the glove box, much like the points devotees often carry a spare set of points. The trigger head though being far easier and quicker to swap!
(In my case with Arthritis in the spine and Parkinson's disease, even replacing the trigger head becomes a challenge, but as for getting a 15 thou gap with points - absolutely no chance! :D )
Only drawback is you can't statically time it - a strobe being a necessity.

No need for a strobe, just turn the distributor back and forth for best tickover/performance.
