Interior rear view mirror, late version

Postby PhilAllen » Wed Jul 08, 2020 5:09 pm

My car is a 1969 one, so it has the Wingard pale grey/cream mirror. Sadly mine has both crumbling plastic and a dark mirror. They don't seem to be available any more so does anyone have a good 2nd hand one or suggestions for alternatives please?

Hi,
There's one for sale on eBay that might do you, it looks like it would clean up okay, however it's not cheap.......

Alternatively ESM do sell them but they are out of stock at present. On the plus side you can request they email you when they get more in. Though you may have to chase them up with this. Link below.
Best wishes,
Mike.

Thanks for posting that ESM link, Mike. I've just put my email address on the list.

They do seem cheap, don't they? Mind you, I could probably sell them even cheaper.....if I didn't have any. :D :D

Thanks for the links. I'm on the ESM list but they don't seem to have had any in stock for a few months now. The ebay one does seem a lot of money compared with the new price at ESM, seems more of a Wolseley price than a Morris one!

If anyone does have one please let me know, it's not urgent as the car (well most of it, I have some bits back) is away being painted at the moment. When it comes back the great reassembly starts...

Might be worth a phone call to them.
I've been waiting for an early series 2 boot lid handle, the one which screws in place from the outside, as opposed to the later one with fitted bolts, for some time now and have heard nothing back from ESM.
So I think I shall give them a call in the very near future.
Best wishes,
Mike.
