Wire loom help please
I have a new wireloom and I'm trying to figure out which section goes inside the cabin and which goes in the engine compartment. In the picture I show a wiring section that I have placed in the cabin but I'm starting to think it goes in the engine compartment. If it indeed goes in the engine compartment, then do some of the wires double-back and reenter the cabin (like the bulbs)?
Thanks,

The white and yellow goes to your ignition light and the greens with a round terminal goes to the fuel gauge so that section goes behind the speedo. Blue goes to your light switch,, blue white to main beam warning lamp, any browns will be in the engine bay, just lay it out so the colours reach the component they are meant to attach to and it ought to be self explanatary. Good luck!
Re: Wire loom help please
Print off Barry's excellent colour diagram at the head of this section, and be guided by that.

Re: Wire loom help please
Can anyone please help me with the wiring loom!?
My problem is the routing from the front of the car to the rear.
Where does it go?
Removed the wiring loom 10 years ago and now I have forgotten where it were routed.
Thanks in advance.

Does the LHD harness go down the RH side of the car to the rear, or the LH side?

Welcome to the forum! Perhaps better to start a new thread - I could make a stab at an answer - but someone really knows will be along in a couple of minutes - I'm sure.

The wiring loom goes down the transmission tunnel there are little metal tangs spot welded to either side of the propshaft tunnel - where it meets the floor- to hold fuel pipes, brake pipes and also the wiring loom to the rear.jenskalmer wrote:Can anyone please help me with the wiring loom!?

Re: Wire loom help please
Thank you very much for the prompt replies.
I will start to route it that way before anything else is done.

Until everything is "in it's rightful place " it's a good idea to temporarily loop the wire to the metal tangs, with either string or pipe cleaners.
That way, if you need to push or pull the loom in a particular direction so everything fits, you don't have to be constantly bending the metal tangs ( until they break ). Once you are satisfied it's in the right spot, you've tested everything, fix it permanently.
A short length of heatshrink over the tang will protect against chaffing. Some people like to protect the loom under the floorplan, where it is exposed to everything the road throws up,with plastic spiral wrap.

Re: Wire loom help please
You've probably already finished the work but I ran mine inside the cabin. I live on a dirt road and sometimes there is brush on the road. I wanted everything protected. I had to lengthen most wires.
