Fine. Although I bent the bootlock with the sound pressure I also had a nasty resonance which I eventually found to be the rear numberplate flapping on the bootlid!Kevin wrote:OK so you took precautions with the wiring, but how on earth did the body cope with it
The body structure was fine. I had a 1293cc engine installed, so it could cope with the extra weight!!
Some of the more amusing things was that it used to bounce the needles of the dash instruments about and move your hair and slightly blurr your vision Oh, those were the days............
Actually if you spent a lot of time in there then it could make you feel nauseous......... also a friend of mine with cystic fibrosis said that it would be ideal for breaking up the mucus on his lungs and that maybe I should use it as a medical aid!!!

charging the battery depends on whether the alternator generates more or less power than you are using. If you use more power than the alternator provides, you will flatten the battery - 2 batteries just means that you flatten at half the rate which is the same as using 1 battery with twice the capacity.cheers, but the alternator kit for a morris? would that be enough to charge both units?
However if go for a clever split system you can then get some advantage of the second battery whereby the ICE should not flatten the battery you use for vehicle functions.

Hi Ray did you mean Infotainment
And all I could find referred to infotainment content for your mobile, so I assume this is leading edge technology which could be useful in the Moggie, sports scores, stocks and shares, trivia games ect, but I think I will give this one a miss in mine, but for the technophobes like Kate it will be a must have I expect

oops - yesHi Ray did you mean Infotainment
Sooner or later your car will know which roads have jams/accidents and the car will make live chages to your route planner, and the passengers will have full internet access, and not just a DVD player - they'll be able to watch live downloads and play multiplayer games with their mates at home etc..
What ever happened to 'Are we nearly there yet?'

Great, so that means that some poor bods have to come up with mobile technology to cope with an internet connection/general fast data transfer while moving around in a harsh mobile environment with motorway fading and doppler effects!
Just so some kids can play games!!! (and their parents can loose the skills of finding places!! )
Ah well, it keeps me in a job I suppose........... unfortunately...........
