Post by rreems »

I've recently replaced my headlights with new sealed beam units, which I bought new from a local Wilco store £12 each, bargain
How can I check their aligned properly?
Thanks

I do it by parking on flat surface about 4 'to 6' from a wall . Measure the height of the center of the lamp and mark the wall at the same height . Adjust the lamp till you hit the mark .

rreems,

Do you know whether Wilco Motosave are the same as Wilco Motor Spares. I only know of the one in Wisbech, but I see the northern ones are all called Motosave.

Edited to add: I see there is one closer and more handy for me - at Kettering

Here is the web link, https://www.wilcodirect.co.uk
I have bought a few things for my minor from them, most notably my replacement Securon seat belts, I think my best purchase so far was £30 for my replacement one piece exhaust from my local motor factors :D

Hi big Jim, excuse my ignorance but, when you say measure the height of the centre of the lamp, is that from the ground to the centre of the lamp?

Thanks Richard

Hi Richard
Measure vertically from the ground to lamp center and then mark the wall at the same height . It is a quick job to do , easier if it is a dull day or at dusk .
