Halogen Headlights.

Post by viewsonic1 »

Yes I know this has been done to death so apologies in advance. Where can I get the most authentic looking halogen headlights that closely resemble the sealed beam units fitted to my 1967 four door saloon? They appear on ebay and the usual supplier websites, but without seeing them in the flesh, it's hard to tell which to buy. Obviously I will go for domed rather than flat.
Many thanks.

Wipac Quadoptics. You would have to look closely to spot the difference

Sincere thanks for the replies, they've given me a lot to go on. They will be a Christmas present to me from my eldest daughter who insists I have something worthwhile. VERY worthwhile I think you will agree!
Thanks again.

Check out the bulbs that come with them, it may be worth spending an extra tenner on some good quality bulbs if you do a lot of night driving. I was very impressed with Halogens but absolutely bowled over when I replaced the cheapies that came with the kit with some Philips that came top in some independent tests. The cut off and shape of the beam was dramatically better and I had to get the beam correctly set as I was even dazzling Audi drivers!

Could you let us know which bulbs you fitted as they sound like a worthwhile addition. Thanks.

+1 for Wipac Quadoptics...I wouldn't be without mine & I do a lot of distance driving in all weathers, often thru the night!
