Are they the same as pre war Austin 7's? Off to a show in a couple of weeks time and I could check out their auto jumbo.

I am awaiting a reply on a related thread here, but would appreciate it. There war ones tend to be like the MM a flat screw on connector to the plug, which , ironically, are available new. Autojumble seems favourite.I will also have a look at the NATIONAL if no-one has any luck. I went to Beaulieu last week and these were not on my list - AAAAAARGH !

Thanks for all the help guys. Green defender , can you put yours aside as a 'PlanB'. I bought a second hand distributor on e bay as it had a side entry cap with copper plug caps. If there is an issue with it , I will come back to you.

Many thanks again.

Yeah of course iv got the distributor aswell with a matching coil vacuum advance pipes etc... I'm probably never gonna use them. They're not going anywhere. Its hard to believe you cant get the connectors tho.

Green Defender,

On another not unrelated thread Seriesmm_1 posted the following site where they supply the caps

http://www.vintagemotorspares.com/phdi/ ... ent&part=2 Part No 187

No idea why I couldn't find it, and I nearly went blind trying. I did not pick uphill post until I had bid for the fairly cheap dizzy but it has given me what I wanted and a spare cap, leads and distributor as well.
