Does anyone know how best to clean up the metal terminals on wiring looms?
I have boxes and boxes of old Lucas terminals that have tarnished during storage. Is there a safe method of cleaning off the crud before soldering? I assume they are Tinned Steel? I was thinking of something like a night in a pot of Vinegar or something similar.
Any thoughts?
Ta.

I'd give vinegar or C - - - Cola a go, cheap and easy to wash off. Agitate the foil tray / jam jar every now and again. A quick dry off with the hair dryer and see what you've got. Might need a second go.

You can get great little glass fibre cleaning pencils for cleaning up electrical terminals, work really well.
