S.u fuel pump Malfunction ?

Hiy Friends
A friend of mine says his SU fuel pump (point type )stop when it hot -is Su fuel pump Malfunction ? I check it and re arrange points too. But still have the prow - when hot it stop he says.
Please what is your experience ?
