Hi.
I'm looking to fit an audio system in the Minor. I know the panel next to the wheel arch in the front footwells has been used by others-can anyone tell me what speakers they have used, how big they are (dia & depth), and how they have fitted them in the card trim panel in relation to the parcel shelf?
Thanks,
N

This is from a different site but I found it a helpful guide and my speakers are installed the same way. It does mean cutting big holes in the panels though.

The speakers I bought were by Crunch Dsx42 slim 4" speakers. If you do a search they will turn up at various suppliers.
Hope this helps.

I'll have a measure when it gets light ,mine are held in by the magnet and being a tight fit also in some respect by the card-relief of the kick-panels ( which allows the sound through better )....

Thanks both. I think 5" sounds about the right size. I'm not over fussed about sound quality,I think you never get great sound quality in a car anyway, it's too noisy and not the right shape for good acoustics.

It's a bit chilly out there the speakers are approx 3 1/2" diameter and approx 1 1/2" deep...

These, along with the four behind the headlining give quite good " noise" John ;-)

Re: Car audio system in a Minor
I am quite sure the mounting method used would not improve the audio output. The audio system might, on occasions, be operated without the car engine running. Acoustic isolation from possible ‘sound boards’ is a fairly universal requirement (unless carried out for a particular purpose) to avoid unwanted acoustic ‘interference’.
