Rear Light Rubbers....

Post by geoberni »

Does anyone with a pre-63 car have these fitted?

They obviously direct the indicator rearwards, rather than up at 45 degrees or so, therefore serve a valid purpose, but what do they actually look like on the car?
I can't find any pictures online of them actually fitted.
They're a bit expensive to buy and then decide they're ugly.....
Anyone got a photo of them fitted?

Thanks

How about this one, posted on the forum about 3 years ago? It's not my car but the photos show them from different angles, so you can see how they look :D

Many thanks for that link MC, I remember commenting on that post with regards 'Age Related Plates', but didn't recollect the images.

They look awful don't they?
I think I'd rather fit motorcycle indicators on the bumper valance or better still an indicator mounted under the bumper.

Yes, they are rather unrefined, much too ugly and unsophisticated for my taste.

Hi,
A few years back I managed to acquire some original 'Butlers' ones (see link to post below) for my previous Series 2 Olwyn and fitted them, I think they looked okay but it is down to the individual.
I would imagine these new versions will look similar when fitted and angle the additional indicators in the correct direction.
For me it would be more about whether an original wing has already been drilled to fit indicators (without an angled base rubber) or whether the wing is unmolested.
Best wishes,
Mike.

PS: If Olwyn's current owner reads this it would be lovely to have an update on her and see a current pic. :D
