making gaskets
Just a quickie re gasket paper. If you lay the paper over the part and gently tap around the edges with a small ballpein hammer you will get a perfect fit everytime. It must be a small hammer and go easy with the tapping or you will bruise the metal. All the best,John.P.s. its an especially good method for stud holes.
Power to your Pistons,Johnnydoome.

In addition, placing a bigggish ball bearing where the stud hole will be and tapping that with the hammer creates a neat groove for cutting in one go.

RE: making gaskets
I find that just pressing the areas with your fingers (firmly) gives enough of an impression for cutting out...
