Hello there!

Does anyone know if Victoria Motors are still around?

Their address was Long Millgate, Blackfriars, Manchester.

Just wondered, 'cos Phyllis has got one of their "supplied by..." plates on her dashboard.

Were they a BMC dealer in the 60's? Would be nice to find out, as I have almost no history for the old girl.

Cheers chaps, and chapesses!
Happy Minoring!

There is still a Victoria Motors Service in Salford, but now on Liverpool street. Might be the same? Blackfriars is in Salford isn't it?

Garage Name: Victoria Motor Services
Telephone: 0161-737 1117
Address: 617 Liverpool Street, Salford, M5 5HQ

I don't know if it is the right one, but it's the only Victoria Motors in the area

Well that's a nice little job lined up for tomorrow. I have my doubts that it would be the same place - surely they would have been turned into a Rover dealer at some time. A big BMC dealer in the centre of Manchester wouldn't just fold, would it? :-? Curiouser and curiouser... I'll give em a ring and see if they can shed any light.

I can only talk sense for Holland, but haveing a specific dealership costs a fair penny, maybe these stopped with BMC, and went on their own.

A lot of companies do in Holland

In the 70's there was a Victoria Station Garage in the same vicinity but don't remember their address. However, Long Millgate is next to Manchester Victoria Railway Station. I wonder if they changed the name and became a VW dealership. :-? I bought a Beetle from them in the early 70's. 8)
Liverpool St. is quite a distance from Long Millgate and a different post code area. (M5 as opposed to M3)
