Q. About 4 door sizes.

Post by Chief »

Hi,
Did the size of doors for the four door models ever change? I have a '63/4 car in need of four new doors and have found some from a '58 year minor, so would these be okay?

Thanks,
Chief :)

I found that series two front door hinges are different to the later minor 1000 front doors,i tried to fit a front door from a later car to my 56 splittie,it wouldnt fit until I changed both the hinges for the ones off my old door

Ive got a 4 door which i have swopped doors on and even tho the doors on 4 doors are all the same I have always had to make adjustment to make them fit, so dont panic if when you first bolt them up they dont seem to fit too well, some take some brute force to get a good fit! They may have even used wooden blocks and mallets at the factory to make them fit when they were new.
