Those 'yuccy orange blobs' are authentic period fittings which
were widely used when it became the norm to have flashing
indicators. If you don't want to make holes in the body then
mount them on the bumper irons or similar. To rely on the
original semaphore indicators is ridiculous. You will be an
accident waiting to happen.

You can see how beautiful those blobs look (urgh)on my signature picture. They are already there, and I am not replacing perfectly good wings for that.....

im shore that the tuv (german mot ) will make you keep them when i was stationed out there near Hamburg i had a A reg cavailer which did not have rear seat belts. it was made before thay came to law to be fitted i still had to get some fitted by an dealer .
a frend had a old Austin which hould have the traffictors and in the 80s he was made to change them put extra indecators on ,but every country has diffrent laws about it.

The german TUV is among the strictest of all MOT like. We have got thye same rule here, original equipment is all you need ( evn though, the veterans, like A fords, need indicators, cause they never had them as standard) Also the brakes are another story, but this not the right thread for those
