Oil leaks
While we are at it would you advise us leak detection kits please

Any oil leaks should be visible with the eye.
The main areas of concern regarding oil leaks are:
1. Sump gaskets especially the seals at the front and rear of the sump.
2. Past the crankshaft scroll seal which manifests itself with oil dripping from the hole in the bottom of the bell housing.
3. The crankshaft pulley seal (felt or lip seal).
4. Camshaft follower access opening side covers.
5. Timing chain cover gasket.

Thank you Phil looks like I may have to wash over and check again as leak seems to have been ignored for a long time and is over a fair area do will have to narrow down with a clean
