Thanks Bryan. I had planned to get some paint matched to the still good original grey around the inside of the screen. However the better half has proclaimed that the car needs to be black.

When did full scale production start for NZ CKD Minor's, thought the pre-allocated
block CKDs were complete kits, wasn't until later locally sourced trim/glass etc was
used?

Am I talking rubbish?
Further investigations uncovered it was an inside job!!

From what I've seen, Australian CKD lowlights were the same as the UK cars, except for the steering wheel & column which were finished in the same gold as the dash. IIRC, the switch panel was also gold.

Had a very nice 49-50 in the workshop the other day and was just randomly comparing stuff. This car did not have the one piece floor. One strange thing I did notice was the join at the front scuttle. On my car this Seam is continually welded and has been done by hand with gas. On the this slightly later car it was spot welded with a machine. Perhaps I need to get a life!
