Front MM, lowlight and highlight wing bonnet space

Post by TvdWerf »

I did not checked it before, but after mounting the lowlight wings, it looks like the space between the wing and bonnet is not correct.[frame]Image[/frame]
It is a new imitation wing, and I know, I do not have the short bonnet, but is this space always so wide?[frame]Image[/frame]
At the front, he looks like 5-6 mm too short, is this because it is an imitation?[frame]Image[/frame]
The other wing has about the same, I have 2 of them, both are the same:
(This one is only blasted, and put in a base coat, waiting for more time ;) )
[frame]Image[/frame]
But at the front he is long enough, but still the bonnet is not connecting perfect.[frame]Image[/frame]
The original wing fits better, but still not perfect.[frame]Image[/frame]
At the front and rear he is not fitting, in the middle its ok.
Is it possible that I have to change the bonnet?
This one was with the car, and was also damaged, together with the car.
But the car was only damaged at the right side, and left is the same.

Lowlight wings were made to fit the short bonnet so you cannot rely on them being a good fit on a long bonnet front end.

But why is the sort bonnet made in combination with the highlight wings, and why are the highlight wings also not fit perfect?
I should say, when a short bonnet is an option for the highlight and low light wings, the long bonnet should do the same?

I know, my next should be a lowlight, but I started with this one ;)

Fibreglass replacement lowlight wing fit is a compromise. I got a good fit on the O/S but nearside was a bit short on height looking a bit like yours.
Type of bonnet makes no difference to fit, but I do think that not all short bonnets are exactly the same size as I'd issues with fit.
