Could you give me more info, ie lowlight/highlight wings, chassis number - SMM @@@@/FAE, FBA, FCJ etc @@@@@@. The number number you have given is probably the build number from Dominion Motors where most of the cars were assembled. What engine was originally fitted?

1954 NZ CKD/Primer Minor 5cwt van makes sense - check the "M", should be "H".

Probably dig out approx build date/engine number given time.
Further investigations uncovered it was an inside job!!

Engine 83549 is a begin '51 car, 123046 is a late '51 car, so this one could be a late '50 MM

"55" used on the Nuffield "F" chassis prefix system, "O" = 5cwt 803cc, soooooo APHM engine (not MM 918)

1954 UK, but Dominion assembly date....?

Cowley plate won't provide a date - NZVLA vin/documents? - with this in mind would stick to 1954.

Didn't have Hybrid's in NZ, it's an early Series 2 Commercial,so near to certain build/assembly date 1954.

Never did solve the question, the numbers on the plate do not correspond to the UK built numbering system, they may have been allocated by the assembly plant at Dominion Motors if the car was a CKD. Photos of the car would enable me to identify the age to within a year

1954 CKD van - fair chunk of 68** were CKD LCVs, albeit mostly pickups for Australia.
