Not very late, because of a straight cross beam on the front, and no holes in the engine floor...
Maybe end 1951 beginning 1952.
As far I know, the later MM chassis were ready for the later engine.

the left hand drive ex Californian car that David has provided the link to has a Lowlight body, so could make a lowlight tourer with the right parts...

What docs covered it from the US - bit of a puzzle!

Can anyone post a pic - showing the rear 1/4 panel - of a hoodless post '51 tourer to compare with this one?

Thanks

When the car is in the UK for 25 years, is not the same as driven on the road in this time.
My (Belgium) MM is since 2010 in my barn, and before somewhere else in a barn.
In a few weeks he is going to the RDW, from that moment he is a Dutch car.
Without papers is not a real problem here when you can show with papers you bought the car legal.
My car has still a Belgium "V5", and something like that is also in the US as far I know.
A logbook is never in a Dutch car.
I do not know how to import a car to the UK, without logbook's or papers...

What stipulations are required by Malta?

All body id plates look to be present.

First thing will be to present a logbook / V5 signed by the pwner to show its not stolen a receipt signed by owner and shipping receipt with date of arrival

The Tourer is an interesting one.

As POMMReg rightly states it seems to have all the body ID plates. Just how would one go about registering a car like this without getting 'stung' ?

What stipulations are required by Malta?

All body id plates look to be present.

Get its id numbers and I'll do some investigating if you're seriously considering it.

Does the vendor still have import docs, and/or know what US state it came from?
