Strange bracket inside front doors

Post by smithskids »

Does any one know what the purpose of the small bracket with a rubber face is for inside the front doors of MMs . The rubber face is untouched from new and hasn't got a mark on it? It is attached by 2 bolts (circled) to the inner skin of the door. :([frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame]

I believe it is called an anti drumming bracket, to help reduce noise (some hope in a moggy) & vibration in the door
