location chassis no dutch CKD

Post by TvdWerf »

Just to be sure, I wanted to check the stamped number but could not find him.
Because the whole dash is repainted by hand, I should clean the area where I should expect him.
My '51 has him somewhere on the top, near the gas cable, but on the front or the rear side, is nothing to find at this one.
The car is correct, the engine number is the same as on the chassis plate written.

Is it possible no number is stamped in some cars?[frame]Image[/frame]

Some had it on the floor inside the car near the brake reservoir.

I think the Dutch CKD cars were stamped on the front shock absorber mounting so you may have to remove them to see it?

nothing found, but the number should be readable without dismantling parts.
Second problem is the layer of paint, the car was repainted by hand before he was parked in the barn, many years ago.
