Lowlight bottlid catch

Post by RobThomas »

It is beginning to look as if some bits of our Lowlight didn't come back from the plating company that has now closed down. Not only the glovebox button but also the bit of the boot catch that bolts to the bodyshell. This is the Lowlight one that looks similar to a UK house door catch, not the later MM one that looks like a hook arrangement.
Does anyone have a spare one or can supply a photo and perhaps some dimensions so I can fabricate a new one?

Thanks

Hi Rob,
I'm sure I have one about, but it will have wear as they were only aluminium but I am willing to post it up to you so you can get dimensions to make a new one if you like?
I also have some glovebox catches that have had new buttons fitted as I had a batch of Stainless one's made as there is nothing worse than a sharp piece of chrome in your thumb while trying to open the glovebox now is there!
Let me know, I'm sure you have my e-mail address now
